Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I really enjoyed reading this book, it was very helpful and I agreed with much of what the author said about nutrition. I use much of the information that he gave almost regularly. I have to say however, that much of what LeoGalland states is good but also very difficult to pull off the majority ofthe time.
I wanted to mention that some of the things are just notdo-able with young kids.Much of what he asks us to feed our kids, is notstuff they would eat...especially a child who is 2 years old. ie: liver, seafood stew, oysters, etc. He also tells you to limit sugar to 1 tsp a daytotal, no added salt on stuff, no fast food restaurants or pizzarias, andno hydrogenated oils etc. These thing may be well and good, but also verydifficult for the average mom or dad to pull off EVERY day, especially withtodays "supermarket" foods. The book has some good recipes, and some good helpful hints, it even got us eating tofu... but please beaware that you may come away from this book feeling overwhelmed by what youshould do and guilty by what you are, or are not doing.
I read it as ahelpful tool that helped me make MANY healthy changes and decisions...butnot something that I took on as "religion" or something I can doas an EVERY day occurance.
