While the assortment of recipes may be the usual appetizers, breads, soups, main dishes, and desserts, each recipe has a story shared by its contributing author. Fans of Engelbreit's artwork will notice her signature style and art throughout the book, even if she didn't create the recipes herself. It's the artwork and stories together that make this cookbook unique, since many of the recipes are the same old tried and true favorites seen in so many other cookbooks. Still, the spiral binding makes this a great book for practical use in the kitchen, and it's sure to be a hit with Engelbreit fans and cooks who enjoy uncomplicated recipes.
